MISSION

OPERATION NAVEX was built with the British Forces ex serving veterans at the forefront of our mind.

It is becoming more apparent that a huge amount of ex serving veterans are struggling to adjust into normal civilian living. This can be down to lack of job security, relationship struggles or even just day to day stresses. Other factors such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), wounds from deployments or mental health issues can also make it difficult for veterans to adjust to normal life and in some instances, can even result in homelessness and suicide.

There are many charities out there that help veterans with their struggles. These charities aim to help veterans adjust in the most suitable effective way possible. So here at OPNAVEX, it is our main mission to raise funds and awareness for these organisations to help them proceed with their effective work.

Some of the charity organisations we will be looking to help raise funds for are:

  • The British Legion
  • Army Benevolent Fund
  • Help for Heroes
  • Combat Stress
  • SSAFA
  • Mind

These above are the main charities, but we also are looking to raise awareness for the smaller charity organisations that are equally if not more effective, yet go a little unnoticed. Charities such as:

  • Forgotten veterans UK (FVUK)
  • Soldiers of the street
  • Veterans charity
  • PTSD Resolution

Our aim is to raise funds by recruiting a variety of people to come together and join small teams. These teams will tackle some of the United Kingdoms finest mountains and trails such as National 3 peaks and Yorksire 3 peaks.

Not only that, OPERATION NAVEX is also looking to approach ex serving veterans directly and to offer them the opportunity to participate in outdoor adventurous activities such as hiking and rock climbing. OPNAVEX believes this will be a distraction for the veteran and be a stepping stone in overcoming their challenges. Being active and integrating with other people will provide a sense of achievement and a few short hours could impact them for a lifetime.
